Question by : Is Amplegoods.com a legitimate company?
I know the answer to my own question. I would like to warn as many people as I can. Please do your own research. You will find several stories like mine. I discovered this site on line and was very excited about their prices. They are located in China and claim they buy direct, and in bulk from manufactures in order to offer such great prices. After doing some research on a computer I wanted, that was listed on their site, I could not resist a $ 1400 machine for only $ 400. They even offered me a gift of an, ipod touch 32g, if I paid right away. What I should have done is some research on Apmlegoods.com. The only way they would accept payment was Western Union. This should have been my second red flag, after the price being too good to be true. With Western Union there is no way to get my money back after it is sent! Several days go by and an email informs me that a new regulation at customs will require another $ 200 tax or tariff to be paid. I asked if they would refund my money. They said it was a new regulation and not their fault so they could not refund my money. I was faced with letting $ 400 go down the drain, or sending another $ 200 for the customs tax. I sent the money, Western Union, and was assured I would be sent a tracking number for my items. I tried for several day to get a tracking number for my shipment and was told it was on the way, but it never arrived. Then this morning I received an email telling me, the truck carrying my items was in an accident and everything was damaged. They say it will take another 7 day to get things in order, and ship. They also say they will offer me deeper discounts on future order. There won’t be any future orders what a fool I have already been. Finally today I went online and did some research on Amplegoods.com, and needless to say they are a total scam. It takes some digging, but there are a number of stories just like mine. I can’t afford to lose the money. I put it on my already over maxed credit cards. I wanted to start a business by, buying from them and selling online. Confronted with their bad reputation they say it is just their competitors trying to hurt their business. Please under no circumstances do business with Amplegoods.com. They are a complete rip off. Take it from a fool who has been parted form his money. I hope you find this post before you send your money. Chris
